Step into American history at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, Home of the People’s President in beautiful Nashville, TN. Guests have been welcomed to The Hermitage for 125 years. It ranks as one of the most visited historic site museums in the country. It attracts visitors from all over the world; thus, tours are available in five languages.The Hermitage opened to the public in 1889. Occupying 1,120 acres, it is one of the oldest and largest historic site museums in the United States.

The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge connects downtown Nashville to the residential suburbs of East Nashville. The bridge contains 48 spans including four steel trusses and two reinforced concrete trusses. Spans over the old Tennessee Central Railroad tracks (now CSX) are the only concrete trusses identified in Tennessee. The bridge was closed to automobile traffic in 1998 and has been restored for pedestrian use, providing outstanding views of the river and downtown skyline.

The Grand Ole Opry is a weekly country music stage concert. Nearby, the Opryland Hotel is a massive complex featuring beautiful waterfalls and botanical gardens.

In 2008, Corsair Distillery was founded in Bowling Green, KY. By 2010, Corsair set its marks where it all started, becoming the first craft distillery in Nashville since prohibition.
Visit the headquarters on Merritt Ave. for tastings and a tour, or visit the Brewstillery on Clinton Street in Marathon Village which has expanded to include high gravity beer within their malt whiskey program. Evan recommends the Brewstillery location.
